Independence Day Fireworks…Branson Style!
Where do you celebrate the Fourth of July? When you live in Branson, MO there’s no better place to celebrate our nation’s Independence Day than on the lake! After all, Branson is “The Live Entertainment Capital of the World” and there is no shortage of events around the holidays.
In Point Lookout, Missouri just 10 minutes south of Branson is the famous Hard Work University, otherwise known as College of the Ozarks. They begin their festivities the week prior to Independence Day. Their firework event is open to the public at no cost. Well, except that you may want to bring a blanket or lawn chair because you’re probably going to stay awhile! With an old-fashioned barbecue picnic, children’s activities, and a patriotic program in store, it’s a full evening of events topped off with an amazing firework show in the field on campus.
On Independence Day itself, of course Branson wouldn’t be Branson unless there were numerous opportunities for fun and celebrations. Chateau on the Lake provides food, fun, and fireworks (you guessed it!)…on the lake! Big Cedar Lodge and Top of the Rock, both located just south of Branson in Ridgedale, Missouri have been known to have bounce houses, food and beverages, live entertainment and glorious firework displays over Table Rock Lake which also typically include the blast of a real Civil War Cannon at dusk!
Or if downtown is more your style, take a stroll along the Branson Landing while you listen to ‘Resurrection – A Journey Tribute Live in Concert’ and enjoy fireworks blasted over Lake Taneycomo. And don’t forget the holiday sales often starting in stores the Friday prior to July 4th.
Just about every town offers some type of fun for crowds of all ages. Rockaway Beach, Hollister, Branson, Kimberling City…all would love to see you at their event. So grab your blanket and lawn chairs and head on out for a night full of celebrations unlike any other…Branson style!
