Brent was born just north of Kansas City but moved to the Branson area with his family when he was in the 5th grade. He attended grade school through high school in Forsyth, Missouri where he was active in extra-curricular activities such as F.F.A, Band, and F.B.L.A. After graduation he attended College at O.T.C and worked in retail management at places like Old Navy, Aeropostale, Hugo Boss, and Petland.
Brent gained most of his sales experience while working for Petland. He started working for the company in 2008 as a sales associate and was promoted to store manager within a very short period of time. After running the store for just two months, Brent had increased sales by 20%. One year later, due to his can-do attitude, customer service skills, and high efficiency, he was promoted to Sales manager for the largest Petland in the world! While working in this superstore, Brent was in charge of all hiring and firing, sales training, marketing, and team development. A year after that, Brent continued to increase sales for the company and was promoted to District Sales and Marketing Manager.
With a desire for real estate, Brent decided to leave the Petland family to pursue a real estate sales career. He attended classes and earned his real estate license at Lifetime Learning Real Estate and Appraisal School in Springfield Missouri. After that, he signed on with Gerken & Associates and put his first transaction under contract within days.
Brent's love for pets did not go away when he left the pet store. He partners with and donates a portion of every commission check to the Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society where he is known for "helping pets and people find homes".
Since becoming a Realtor®, Brent has been involved in the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors (TLBOR) as well as the Missouri Realtors (MR) state association.
In 2013, Brent attended and graduated from the TLBOR Leadership Academy, and in the same year, won the TLBOR Rookie Of The Year award. This built a fire under Brent and fed his desire to serve his association. Since then he has continued his education and obtained his Brokers License in 2016. In that year he also attended and graduated from the MR Leadership Academy and obtained his CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation. This is a designation that only 3% of Realtor's nationwide have been able to achieve.
The next year in 2017 he was nominated for and won the election to serve the TLBOR as their Secretary Treasurer. A year after that in 2018 Brent won the “Ignite Young Professional of the Year” Award given by the Branson Chamber of Commerce and served the TLBOR as the associations President Elect.
In 2019 he was President of the TLBOR and also won the TLBOR Realtor of the Year award. That same year, he also served as the Chairman of the Economic Development Output Group for the State Association. Brent will continue to serve the State Association as a Director from 2020–2023 and will also be the 2021 Vice Chairman and 2022 Chairman of the Advocacy Committee.
Brent is still heavily involved in the Branson Chamber of Commerce where he has served as a “Chamber Ambassador” since 2013. He truly loves this area and prides himself on his knowledge of current transactions, school districts, and neighborhood information. Brent is well versed in many different types of transactions. He owns several long term rental properties as well as several nightly rental condos. His clients like that he not only sells these properties but also owns and operates them himself. This makes Brent a great choice for someone interested in looking for their next home or an investment property.
In his free time he likes spending time on his boat on Table Rock Lake, watching the Kansas City Chiefs play football and spending time with his nieces and nephew. If you’re considering buying or selling in the Tri-Lakes area, give Brent a call at 417-593-4062.
