Brent grew up in Forsyth, Missouri where he attended grade school all the way through high school graduation. In high school he was active in extra-curricular activities such as F.F.A, Band, and F.B.L.A. After graduation he attended College at O.T.C and worked in retail management at places like Old Navy, Aeropostale, Hugo Boss, and Petland.
Brent gained most of his sales experience while working for Petland. He started working for the company in 2008 as a sales associate and was promoted to store manager within a very short period of time. After running the store for just two months, Brent had increased sales by 20%. One year later, due to his can-do attitude, customer service skills, and high efficiency, he was promoted to Sales manager for the largest Petland in the world! While working in this superstore, Brent was in charge of all hiring and firing, sales training, marketing, and team development. A year after that, Brent continued to increase sales for the company and was promoted to District Sales and Marketing Manager.
With a desire for real estate, Brent decided to leave the Petland family to pursue a real estate sales career. He attended classes and earned his real estate license at Lifetime Learning Real Estate and Appraisal School in Springfield Missouri. After that, he signed on with Gerken & Associates and put his first transaction under contract within days.
Brent continues to be actively involved in the local Board of Realtors. In 2013, Brent won the Rookie Of The Year award and was nominated and won the election to serve as a Director on the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors® for a three year term. He has also served on several committees. These committees include:
- Education Committee: The education committee provides ongoing, quality educational programs for the membership within the membership budget.
- Programs Committee: Develops objective-driven membership meetings to be scheduled during the year, as demand warrants, to meet the needs of the members.
- M.L.S Committee: Provides a state-of-the art, cost effective listing database that will be relevant to the day-to-day business of Realtors® in the MLS service areas.
- R.P.A.C Committee: RPAC is the Realtor® Political Action Committee responsible for raising funds to support and promote elected officials that support the protection of private property rights.
Because of Brent's commitment to being the best he can be, he continues his real estate education by taking GRI (Graduate Realtor® Institute) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) Courses.
Brent is heavily involved in the Branson Chamber Of Commerce where he serves as a Chamber Ambassador. He is also very active in the Stone & Taney County Relay For Life where he serves on the Planning Committee.
Brent truly loves this area and prides himself on his knowledge of current transactions, school districts, and neighborhood information.
